The Green Connection offers the eco-treasures of Sabah in a nutshell. This is NOT the best attraction in Sabah, BUT it is the BEST conservation centre and has lots to do for anyone who cares about the planet. Very close to town this is an excellent attraction for a few hours visit, The Green Connection is an eco theme park, an aquarium and Borneo discovery centre, featuring over 1250 native species from 9 major habitats, providing visitors with the opportunity to journey around the ecosystems of Borneo and explore the vast biodiversity contained within them
This is the only place to see most of the exotic underwater creatures of Sabah. Check out the Borneo top Ten for ideas on where to see the best of Sabah wildlife. Even if you can scuba dive, The-Green-Connection is the best place to get this close to turtles, sharks or sting rays. Divers can go in the tanks and help feed the fish sharks and rays, Non divers can feed and touch sting rays and tame sharks. This is a rescue centre for the rare and endangered aquatic animals of Sabah. Help the conservation efforts by planting a coral, breeding and releasing the rare endangered Borneo Blood Python. The guitar shark or the leopard sharks are so rare that efforts to find a pair of these wonderful creatures has so far taken over 4 years.
