The 41st Ryder Cup Matches will be held from September 30 to October 2, 2016 at the Hazeltine National Golf Club, Chaska, Minnesota. Europe go into the match as the cup holders, having defeated the USA by 16½ points to 11½ in the 2014 competition at the Gleneagles Hotel near Auchterarder in Perthshire, Scotland.
With both Team Europe and Team America having both selected their respective captains, the 2016 Ryder Cup is already shaping up to be one of the most fiercely contested yet.  America have gone back to the drawing board in selecting Davis Love III to try and rekindle the form and team spirit that nearly helped them to a win at Medinah in 2012.  Europe have settled on the charismatic Northern Irishman Darren Clarke who is sure to be a big hit with media and fans stateside.  He is already confirmed that his main job is to continue the formula which has seen Team Europe win 8 of the last 10 Ryder Cups confirming the switch in dominance.
